This officer is responsible for a wide variety of clerical functions. which require the application of some measure of independent judgement.

Organizes and carries out work with a minimum of direct supervision.

Supervises an Assistant Clerical Officer who performs routine office procedures at the Hospital.

Instructions are received from a Doctor, Other Senior Nursing and Pharmaceutical Personnel.

Adherence to departmental policy and procedure is required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs administrative and other duties at the Police Hospital;
• Liaises with internal and external Agencies relative to matters at the Police Hospital;
• Assigns duties to, advises, supervises and reviews work of an Assistant Clerical Officer performing routine clerical work at the Police Hospital.

Qualifications!Experience/Skills

• Training as evidenced by five (5) CXC ‘O' Level passes including Mathematics and English Language
• Certificate in Office Procedures and Practices
• Computer Literacy Skills
• Ability to assign, supervise and review the work of subordinate employees
• Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and standard office equipment;
• Abiiity to make informed decisions on the basis of precedents and regulations;
• Ability to speak and write clearly and effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and the public
