We do this through proprietary and sophisticated technology that allows us to index millions of jobs directly from company websites around the world every day. As a result of this unique approach to the online job space, we deliver compelling job search, candidate sourcing, and job market data solutions to job seekers, employer advertisers, and data clients.

We are seeking an individual who will be a key contributor to our data management team to support the ongoing growth of the company.

 

About the role

You'll work as part of a fun team, using your growing skill set to help us scour the internet to build the world's best index of job opportunities.

 

 

Location

Typically, this position is located at our office in downtown Minneapolis. Due to COVID-19, this position will start as work-from-home and may or may not remain so for the duration based on how events unfold. As such, you'll want to make sure the following are available to you:

 

A relatively distraction-free environment to work in
Reliable internet connection for working and participating in video meetings
While not strictly required, we're favoring candidates more local to the area. Unfortunately, at this time we cannot facilitate candidates who are international/require a work visa/et cetera. Equipment to work on will be provided to you. For security reasons, you will not be permitted to work from your own PC/laptop/device.

 

Compensation

This is a paid internship ideal for non-traditional students working on a technical degree. The pay is $20 per hour and planned to be about 20 hours per week.

 

 

Length of Internship

This posting is for a 6-8 month internship position.

 

To be successful, you'll need the following

 

  • Working towards a degree (or equivalent experience) in computer science or related field
  • Some experience programming in one or more modern programming languages (you'll learn PHP here if you don't already know it)
  • A baseline understanding of web technologies and protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively or independently

  • Sees data in everything and wants to take things apart and tinker
  • Has a natural tendency to automate and streamline things
  • Has a habit of setting measurable goals and blowing past them

  • Can read and understand code written by other people
  • Loves being a critical part of a team doing meaningful work
