Faculty: Medical Sciences Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate must possess a:

•DVM

•PhD or equivalent postgraduate degree in Veterinary Public Health and Epidemiology

An established academic and research reputation in the areas of Veterinary Public Health, Food Safety and Veterinary Epidemiology

A track record of successful collaboration with relevant stakeholders

A record of successful research grant funding

Special Responsibilities

 

  • Conducting research in the interdisciplinary courses for the DVM programme and among related disciplines in the Faculty of Medical Sciences especially in the areas of Public Health, Animal Science and Veterinary Clinical Medicine
  • Teaching in all areas of Veterinary Public Health, Food Safety, Veterinary Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Meat Inspection and Milk Hygiene at the undergraduate and post graduate levels
  • Coordinating and overseeing the Food Safety Microbiology laboratory and performing consultancies in this field
