Fund Accountant - Hedge Fund

Our client, an alternative asset management company based in the Cayman Islands, is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to join their fund accounting/NAV/Loan Operations team. Ideally, the candidate will have 2 to 5 years post qualification experience, preferably with 2 to 5 years experience in Funds. This role is for an individual ready to take on a range of responsibilities associated with hedge fund operations and finance.

The successful candidate would have responsibility in the following areas:

•·         Verification of month end NAV for all funds to ensure accuracy and validity, and resolution of any NAV or audit related queries

•·         Preparation of performance estimates for all funds 

•·         Monitoring of subscriptions, redemptions and fund expenses

•·         Monitoring and preparation of cash reconciliations of Prime Broker and Collateral Cash accounts

•·         Preparation of monthly management accounts for various Fund subsidiaries

•·         Liaison with Fund Administrators and Auditors for resolution of  interim and year end audit requirements

•·         Provide assistance to Corporate Loan operations team

•·         Establish good internal working relationships with the operations/settlements team, the risk and performance team, the fund managers and the traders and external third party relationships witth auditors, Fund Administrators and other service providers.
