PBX/VOIP PBX Technician (Support911)

Located: Trinidad & Tobago

Support 911TM TEAM is hiring qualified and/or experienced:
PBX/VOIP PBX TECHNICIAN for work in Trinidad and Tobago

Install, setup, and monitor PBX/Voice Over IP PBX. Perform a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasks to ensure PBX performance meets company and user requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage inventory of office PBX and phones
• Monitor performance of PBX system
• Repair, build and network/install PBX and phones
• Installation of main and additional software
• Recommendations for upgrades to ensure the highest quality of lab environments
• Technical support and helpdesk support to all staff
• Training of office staff in use of applications
• Design disaster recovery plans and monitor the system for successful completion of system backups
• Schedule download and maintain most up to date maintenance software for the main PBX server/console and the PBX/VOIP PBX extensions/network clients.
• Maintain high levels of security and confidentiality (both external and internal)

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

1. Certification in telecoms ANSI/networking e.g. A+, Network+, MCSE/MCSA would be an asset.
2. Knowledge of a range of PBX/VOIP PBX systems to include Nortel, Mitel, Asterisk or similar PBX/VOIP PBX systems.
3. Ability to install, configure, and maintain personal PBX/VOIP PBX systems, phones, soft clients, and related hardware and software.
4. Knowledge of PBX/VOIP PBX security systems, applications, procedures, and techniques. Ability to identify and resolve PBX/VOIP PBX system malfunctions and operational problems.
5. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
6. Ability to provide reports to Management.
7. Must have a license and experience driving a station wagon and/or panel van.

Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.
